This mountain is located in the Bukit Barisan Mountains, Jambi Province, and is still very beautiful because it is surrounded by dense forest. The mountain, which is located in the Kerinci Seblat National Park area, is also still the original habitat of the Sumatran tiger and Sumatran rhino. The peak of Mount Kerinci is named after Indrapura Peak. From there, we can see views of the cities of Jambi, Padang, and Bengkulu, and even the vast Indian Ocean can be seen clearly.

Mount Kerinci has a crater area of ​​400 x 120 meters filled with green water. In addition, in the eastern part there is Bento Lake, which is the highest clear water swamp in Sumatra. Not only that, at the back there is also the beauty of Mount Tujuh with an enchanting crater. Mount Kerinci is a stratovulcano-type volcano that is still active and has been named a World Heritage Site for the Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra.

Itinerary of 4D3N Mount Kerinci Trip

DAY 1 :

• Meeting point Padang Airport
• Padang-Kersik Tuo Trip (mountain kerinci basecamp)
• Arrive at Kersik Tuo, check in homestay and rest

DAY 2

• After breakfast, transfer to Pintu Rimba and start trekking Mount Kerinci
• Stop for lunch and rest at Shelter
• Continue trekking to Shelter 3
• Arrive at Shelter 3 campsite, rest before summit 3805m Peak of Mount Kerinci

DAY 3

• Summit to the Peak of Mount Kerinci
• Enjoying Sunrise from the Peak of Mount Kerinci
• Back down to Shelter 3
• Arrive at the tent for breakfast
• Journey down to the Jungle Gate
• Transfer to homestay and rest

DAY 4

• After breakfast, drive back to Padang
• Lunch on the way to Padang
• Mount Kerinci Open Trip finishes at Minangkabau Padang airport
