Exciting Adventure! 4 Days Rinjani Mountain Hiking
Mount Rinjani is a mountain located in the Rinjani National Park, Lombok Island, Indonesia. Its natural beauty has mesmerized travelers from all over the world. Especially for those who are accustomed to hiking activities, Mount Rinjani is no stranger to the ears.
World travelers know Indonesia from the islands of Bali and Lombok Island. Mount Rinjani is also associated with the face of the island of Lombok. If you hear the name of the island of Lombok, you will definitely imagine Mount Rinjani.
Rinjani Mountain Hiking requires 4 days of travel time. During that time the hikers will find excitement in the nature of Rinjani. As a Rinjani climbing specialist, the Parman Trekker team will share the Rinjani climbing experience with our hikers.
From Sembalun Village Ends at Senaru Village
Sembalun ascent is the best route to the top of Rinjani because through this route we will reach the highest peak of Rinjani as high as 3726 meters above sea level. Sembalun is the name of one of the villages on the island of Lombok which is famous as the entry point for climbing Mount Rinjani.
In addition, Sembalun village is also famous for its natural tourist attractions on the island of Lombok. In this village, you will find hot springs, waterfalls, and agro-tourism destinations.
Meanwhile, we will lead the hikers to the exit via the Senaru trail. What is our journey like from the entrance in Sembalun and ending at the exit of the Senaru trail that spends 4 days traveling?
Before the hike or Day 0
This is the time when climbers or hikers first arrive on the island of Lombok. Arriving on the island of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, the Parman trekker team will welcome and pick up the climbers at the starting place or arrival point.
We will provide pick-up services around Lombok to our rinjani climbers. The pick-up location points such as at Lombok Airport or in Mataram City. We are also willing to pick up climbers from beach locations on the island of Lombok such as Sengigi Beach and Kuta Beach.
Our team will direct you to the best lodging in Senaru. We will stay one night here first. For the lodging itself, the Parman Trekker team already has lodging references that certainly will not disappoint you.
First Day Hike
On the first day we will take a climbing trip for 7 hours. Our main goal on the first day is to camp at Sembalun Crater Rim or the peak of Plawangan Sembalun.
Sembalun crater rim is famous as a camping place with a background view of Mount Rinjani. Here we will have fun and stay one night by setting up a tent.
The hike to Plawangan Sembalun takes 7 hours by passing through 3 stopping posts. The climb does not include a break at each post. Therefore, in order to arrive at the top of Plawangan Sembalun not too late we must move early in the morning.
Breakfast and Medical Check-up
The Parman Trekker team already has a systematized schedule so that you arrive at Sembalun Crater rim on time. Still, on the first day, we will have breakfast at 6. 30am at the homestay then depart for Sembalun village at 7.00 am as the path and entrance to the top of Rinjani.
Arriving at Sembalun village, we will do a medical checkup and take tickets. Every climber who will climb Mount Rinjani must do a medical checkup because the requirements for climbing the mountain must be in good health. In addition, climbers must also be free from symptoms of COVID-19 so climbers are required to do a rapid test.
In accordance with our plan at 8. 30am, we can already start the adventure of climbing Mount Rinjani. We will spend 2 hours climbing to reach the first post. Arriving at the first post we will continue the climb to the second post which takes 1 hour.
Rest and Lunch
Arriving at the second stop post we will rest for approximately 2 hours. And during the rest time, you will be served by our team with dishes. The Parman Trekker team will cook delicious food for you.
Take advantage of the rest time to recharge and flex the muscles that have worked hard during the trip.
Camping at Sembalun Crater Rim
After lunch and rest, we will continue our hike to the third stop post. It will take one hour to reach this post. And continue the journey for 3 hours to the camp side. A long journey to the best camping spot on Mount Rinjani.
Finally, we arrived at the Sembalun Crater Rim, or the beautiful Sembalun Plawangan Peak. According to our planning, we will arrive at this location at 05.00 pm. Perfect time to enjoy the sunset in the afternoon and not too late to set up the tent.
We will spend the night on this peak in our tents and enjoy dinner that our team has also prepared. For dinner, our team will prepare special fried rice for you. The complete menu includes vegetables, chicken, and eggs. We guarantee you will be satisfied with the special dinner prepared by the Parman Trekker team. There are also hot drinks in the form of coffee, tea or ginger milk.
Second Day Hike
The second day is no less exciting and this is the most important agenda for climbing Mount Rinjani. We will go to the top of Mount Rinjani and Lake Segara Anak. We will climb the highest peak for 3 hours. We will start climbing at 2.30 am.
Arriving at the Top of Rinjani
Before that, the climbers get a hot drink to provide freshness for the body to be ready to face the weather which is quite cold during the trip to the top of Rinjani. According to the plan, we will arrive at the top of Rinjani at 3726 meters above sea level at 6.00 am. the ideal time to enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the top of Rinjani.
Segara Anak Lake and Hot Springs
After enjoying the highest peak of Rinjani Volcano, we will descend the peak of Rinjani to go camping on the edge of Segara Anak Lake. The lake, which is located at an altitude of 2009 meters above sea level, is one of the reasons why many climbers go to Mount Rinjani.
The descent of this mountain to the edge of Lake Segara Anak takes approximately five hours. After arriving at Segara Anak Lake, we make sure you will not wait anymore to immediately swim and enjoy the hot springs.
We will do camping activities with a background view of Lake Segara Anak. This lake itself is the same geological site as Mount Rinjani. In the middle of the lake, there is the existence of Mount Barujari which is also known as the son of Mount Rinjani.
Third-Day Hike
On this third day, we will spend half a day at Segara Anak Lake with activities such as swimming, and bathing in hot springs. Having breakfast with a lake view is an unforgettable experience for our climbers.
The Parman trekker team certainly provides its best service in providing the hikers’ favorite meals. Delicious menus such as banana pancakes, cheese tomato sandwiches, and soup spoil the tongues of Rinjani climbers and replenish energy before continuing to the next destination.
We will climb to the other peak of Rinjani, the Senaru crater rim, or the top of Plawangan Senaru. This hike takes 3 hours of travel time. Once again we will camp at one of the peaks of Senaru Rinjani.
Fourth Day Hike
Arriving on the last day, we will descend the Senaru crater rim to Senaru village which is at the foot of Mount Rinjani. We will arrive at noon at the Rinjani trekking specialist office. And then you can visit other tourist destinations on the island of Lombok.

Summary
It turns out that our journey is also long from the entry point in Sembalun village and ends at the exit point in Senaru Rinjani village. Meanwhile, we will spend 3 nights staying above the height of Mount Rinjani. First, camping at Sembalun Crater Rim or Sembalun Plawangan Peak. Then the second night, stay at the Segara Anak Lake campsite. And the last night overnight at Senaru crater rim or Plawangan Senaru.
An unforgettable experience is of course seeing the sunsite at the sembalun crater, sunrise at the top of Mount Rinjani, and bathing in the hot springs of the Segara Anak lake area. While enjoying breakfast with a delicious menu.
